Hey blogger, I forgot what day of quarantine were on, Im getting used to school online, and my assignments. The assignments are really helpful and I feel real good about this last quarter.

Second day of online classes

Today i took a quiz and did fairly well on it. I improved on taking my time and paying attention. It is still weird having class online and adjusting, but today we got a lot more work then yesterday. I miss my class if i was in fourth block our teacher probably have us laughing or working in groups we would still get work done, but it would be more exciting then this

First online class

Today is our first day doing online classes. Ive really forgotten a lot of things, I had already learned, and some of my teachers advice. I did my first assignment, but I rushed through the quiz not taking my time like my teacher has said repeatedly. I miss class and see the other students this feels weird. Id prefer to be in school.

Around the world in 2 days

So today we finished our culture projects. Our teacher let the final three students present, and we went about our day. He made a deal with us he was going to talk one on one with students about our essays from last week. He told us that if we were quiet he'd just let us do a small assignment, but if we talked or disturbed the silence we would have a bucket load of homework. Well we were quiet once he made the deal. Today was good I enjoyed today, I found out one of my friends made an high score of 91 on his ASVAB. Im happy for him. I really think my class will do wonderful things once we graduate and move into the world. I don't normally tell them, but I love them and care dearly about each of them.

Around the world

Our teacher gave us an assignment to tell the class about different cultures around the world. The cultures were chosen at random, the class created PowerPoints on each of our cultures. I went today and I was crazy nervous before i presented, but once the first couple words left my mouth I was ready to go. I did well but I was just surprised to be as nervous as I was. I had fun listening to my class mates present I really loved one of my piers projects. Especially her intro.

ACT prep

Today I wasn't in class. We had to participate in ACT prep. It was fun, and enjoyable i loved how informative it was. Today we focused on math; it isn't necessarily my strong suit, but a hurdle im ready to face.

Fame or shame

Today we played fame or shame. Our teacher handed us random papers from other students. We went around the class reading the claims deciding witch one is fame or shame. The point was to see how many of us can compose a paragraph with a claim followed by evidence, then and explanation.

Son to mother

Today we looked at a prompt. Should men have a nurturing relationship with there mother. We picked sides then we read to poems one of which was by Langston Hughes. After all that we discussed the poems, and broke them down we made claims, and broke down phrases to better understand. Our teacher told us to write a paragraph, and show it to our mother after telling them about todays lesson. My mom didn't get home till around 4 but she discussed certain things with me and we talked. I wont be able to put that but I'm growing into a nice young man and I still have a lot to learn and improve on. I liked todays lesson.

I wasn’t there

Today instead of class I had to go study for scholars bowl.

Missing in Miami

Hey Blog, today our teacher wasn’t there because he’s in Miami. He left us some work to do we were supposed to write a body paragraph. We are still on the same prompt we were on last week, about the relationship between doubt and certainty. Class was fairly easy we just had to do our work and it was pretty chill, now that I think back on it we should have done this body paragraph earlier I actually forgot majority of my examples so that was a big dilemma. Other then that class was ok how was good.

Motivation and Claims

Today in class we watched motivation videos. We were supposed to look for evidence, to make claims. Yesterday we were given a prompt. The topic was certainty and doubt, it revolved around the relationship of the two. I liked watching the motivation videos they were motivating.

Four corners

Hey blog, today we argued using four corners. We had a meeting at 2:00 so thats how we spent the time. The teacher took a sheet of paper and wrote A, B, C, and D.

We played about four rounds and the teacher asked us different questions, the questions consisted of argument topics that we could debate over. I liked todays lesson it was fun. But due to the way the questions sounded I got a lil confused. When we went to the meeting our principal Mr. Sanderson came to talk to us about the ACT he handed out envelopes for the people that took the AC T. He didn’t get all the people who took the ACT but he got a good amount of ACT participants. Thats mainly how today went it was good.

Fallacy

Today we talked about current events they went along well with todays lesson. Todays main discussion was about Fallacy. I liked todays lesson j didnt go to sleep because it was and invigorating lesson. As we discussed Fallacy our teacher used current topics and recent events that have happned as example. It was great.

Ted talk

Hey blogger today we watched a ted talk video. The video is helpful for all types of people, but was directed towards students. The video was great it focused in on how effort is everything. You dont have to be the most talented, or the smartest, but effort if you have effort and work to accomplish your goal you can succeed. I really enjoyed the video it was great it just hit home.

Thesis and claims

Today we read a prompt that we started on Monday. Majority of the class was on a field trip but we continued with the lesson. We read previous answers to the prompt to see how they would rate on a scale from 1-9, with nine being the highest

A return to blogger

Today was a good day. I we worked on our thesis statement. The lesson reminded me of a pass assignment. We talked about monuments, the lesson revolved around monuments and the controversy of having them and what they represent. We talked about what groups should consider when memorializing an event, or person. Such as money,impact,backlash, and presentation. Overall todays lesson was great.

A reflection comeback

Hey blogger. Today we read the “I have a dream speech” by Martin Luther King Jr,. I really enjoyed todays class, it was fun analyzing the rhetorical devices and discussing the connection, and type of device. Class was funny, and good i still need to get better at doing my work id like to work harder at it a lot. Lately we have been doing vocabulary presentations which really help with my grade. Hope we continue with them. I plan on doing better with my homework too. Sorry I havent been active if anyone actually reads this.

Hey blogger I haven’t been active lately. But today in class we talked about tone and poems.

Health

Today we made a giant chart about health. The teacher gave us different questions regarding health. We were to brainstorm answers within two minutes and forty seconds. The class was in five groups, each group had a different question. We had to go around and answer their questions.

October 10

Today was a good day nothing much happened today. We reviewed our EQT, im happy to say i passed my EQT. Other then that today was chill, but thats all folks
